Paste your text, pick a case, and copy the result - upper, lower, title, sentence, camelCase, snake_case and more.
Every case in one place
Retyping a heading just to fix its capitalisation is a waste of time, and re-casing code identifiers by hand is worse. Paste your text once, click a style, and the box is rewritten in place ready to copy. Nine conversions are covered, from everyday writing styles to the naming conventions programmers use.
What each option does
- UPPERCASE - every letter capitalised: HELLO WORLD.
- lowercase - every letter reduced: hello world.
- Title Case - each major word capitalised, with small words like "of" and "the" left lowercase unless first or last: A Tale of Two Cities.
- Sentence case - first letter of each sentence capitalised, the rest lowercase.
- camelCase - joined, first word lowercase: myVariableName.
- PascalCase - joined, every word capitalised: MyVariableName.
- snake_case - lowercase words joined by underscores: my_variable_name.
- kebab-case - lowercase words joined by hyphens: my-variable-name.
- aLtErNaTiNg - flip-flopping caps for a playful, mocking look.
Title case done properly
Naive title case capitalises the first letter of every word, which gives you the wrong result for phrases like "The Lord Of The Rings". Real title case keeps short articles, conjunctions and prepositions - a, an, the, and, but, or, of, to, in, on, at, by, with and friends - lowercase, unless they land first or last. This tool applies that rule, so "gone with the wind" comes out as "Gone with the Wind".
