Online Notepad
A clean, distraction-free notepad that autosaves to your browser as you type - no account, no cloud, nothing leaves your device.
Notes are stored only in this browser. Download a copy if you need it elsewhere or want a permanent backup.
A notepad that remembers
Open this page, start typing, and your text is quietly saved to your browser a moment after you pause. Close the tab, restart your computer, come back next week - the note is still here, restored the instant the page loads. There is no sign-up, no syncing and no cloud. It is the digital equivalent of a scratch pad that lives on your desk.
Genuinely private
Everything happens in your browser using localStorage. Nothing you write is ever transmitted, logged or seen by anyone else, which makes it a safe place for quick drafts, passwords you are about to change, meeting jottings or anything you would not want passing through a server. The flip side of that privacy is that the note lives on this device only: it will not appear on your phone, and clearing your browser data erases it. When a note matters, hit Download .txt for a real file you control.
Good for quick work
- Drafting a message before pasting it into email or chat
- Holding text while you clean it up or reformat it
- Capturing ideas, to-dos and links during a call
- A calm, full-width writing space with a live word count
The footer keeps a running word, character and line count with an estimated reading time. Need deeper text stats or keyword density? The word counter breaks it all down. Cleaning up messy pasted text? Try the line break remover or case converter. Timing your writing sprints? The Pomodoro timer pairs nicely with this.
