Reverse Text
Flip text backwards, reverse the word order, mirror each line, or make upside-down text you can paste anywhere.
Four ways to reverse text
Each mode does something different, so pick the one that matches what you need:
- Characters - flips the whole string end to end. "Reverse me" becomes "em esreveR". Useful for puzzles, mirror writing and simple obfuscation.
- Word order - keeps every word spelt normally but reverses their sequence, line by line. Good for reordering lists or making a Yoda-style sentence.
- Each line - reverses the characters within each line separately, leaving the lines themselves in place. Handy for tabular or code-style text.
- Upside down - turns your text into flipped Unicode look-alikes that read the right way up when rotated 180 degrees.
Why the results are Unicode-safe
Naively reversing a JavaScript string with split('') breaks emoji and some
accented letters into meaningless fragments, because those characters are stored as more than
one code unit. This tool splits on full code points instead, so an emoji or a character like
"e" with an accent survives the flip intact and comes out the other side unchanged.
Using upside-down text online
Upside-down text is a fun way to stand out in a bio or username. Because it is genuine Unicode rather than an image, it stays selectable and searchable. Paste it into Instagram, X, TikTok, Discord or WhatsApp and it should display correctly on any device with a modern font. If you want more text effects, try the case converter for UPPERCASE and Title Case, count what you have written with the word counter, or tidy pasted text using the line break remover.
