Split PDF
Pull out the pages you need, or break a PDF into one file per page - all in your browser.
Two ways to split a PDF
Extract pages keeps everything in a single output file. Type the pages you
want using commas and hyphens - 1-3, 5, 8-10 pulls pages one to three, page five,
and pages eight to ten into one new PDF, in exactly that order. It is the fast way to lift a
chapter, a signed page or a single form out of a long document.
Split every page is the bulk option. It turns each page into its own PDF and packages the lot into a ZIP file, so a 12-page document becomes page-1.pdf through page-12.pdf. Handy when you need to send pages to different people or file them separately.
How page ranges are read
5- just page five2-6- pages two, three, four, five and six1, 4, 9- three individual pages10-7- pages ten down to seven, in reverse
Anything outside the document's page count is rejected with a clear message, so you cannot accidentally ask for page 50 of a 12-page file. Spaces are ignored, so format the list however reads best to you.
When to use each mode
Reach for Extract pages when you know exactly which pages you want as a single document - lifting a boarding pass out of a travel itinerary, or pulling the three relevant pages from a forty-page manual to send a colleague. Reach for Split every page when you need each page as its own file, for example separating a batch of scanned invoices so each can be filed or forwarded on its own. The ZIP keeps them numbered and in order so nothing gets muddled.
Private by design
The split happens using pdf-lib inside this page. Your file is read into memory, sliced, and written back out as a download without ever touching a server. Once you close the tab, nothing remains. If you need to put pages back together afterwards, use Merge PDF; to drop unwanted pages instead of extracting good ones, try Delete PDF Pages. To turn the extracted pages into images, pass the result through PDF to JPG.
